Jivan Healthtech

Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. What this policy covers

This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to paid subscriptions of the Jivan practice management platform, sold to clinics, hospitals, diagnostic labs and pharmacies ("Provider", "you") through jivanhealthtech.in and its onboarding flow.

It does not cover patient-facing bookings, consultations, medicine orders or lab tests placed by patients through the Jivan or DocYou apps – those are governed by a separate patient refund policy on that platform.

Every figure on this page (trial length, verification charge, prices) is the same number shown on the pricing page and at the point of signup. If either ever disagrees with what you were actually charged, the amount you were charged is what we will act on – write to the Grievance Officer below.

2. Free trial and the mandate verification charge

Paid plans include a free trial of 14 days. Starting one requires setting up a payment mandate (UPI Autopay or card) so billing can start automatically once the trial ends – this is disclosed next to every trial button on the site, not only here.

  • A refundable ₹5 charge is taken at the moment you set up the mandate, to verify the card or UPI handle works. This is a verification hold, not a fee – it is auto-refunded by your bank or UPI app, typically within a few banking days.
  • Your plan itself is not charged during the 14-day trial. The first real charge happens on day 15, and only if you have not cancelled before then.
  • Solo-doctor / single-user free plans never take a mandate and are never charged – this section does not apply to them.

3. Cancelling during the trial

Cancel any time before day 15 from your dashboard at /dashboard/billing and your mandate is never charged beyond the refundable verification amount above. Under RBI rules, your bank or UPI app also notifies you at least 24 hours before any deduction, so you will see the first real charge coming before it happens.

4. Cancelling a billed subscription

You can cancel a monthly or yearly plan at any time from /dashboard/billing. Cancelling stops the next billing cycle – your account and mandate are not charged again after the request is confirmed.

Amounts already billed for the current paid period are not refunded for the unused remainder of that period: your subscription and data access continue until the end of the period you already paid for, then stop renewing. This is the standard convention for software subscriptions and applies equally to monthly and yearly plans (e.g. ₹1,000/mo billed monthly, or ₹9,600/yr billed yearly).

A charge you believe is wrong – billed after you cancelled, or for the wrong amount – is investigated as a billing dispute, not covered by the no-refund rule above. Write to the Grievance Officer with your invoice or transaction ID and we will refund it if the charge should not have happened, typically within 5 to 7 business days to your original payment method.

5. Your data, if you leave

Cancelling is not a data-hostage situation. Export your patient list, visit history, prescriptions and billing records to a spreadsheet from your dashboard at any time, before or after cancelling, without asking us first.

6. Governing law and grievances

This Policy is governed by the laws of India. Disputes arising from it are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Odisha, India.
